Production Manager

Job Description: The Production Manager is responsible for managing the production and completion of all construction installations as well as all the supporting operations within the production department. Their duties will include coordinating schedules with property owners, suppliers, crews, and supervisors for the installation process. They will oversee quality control, and ensure the timely completion of projects. They will use a CRM, spreadsheets, and other data management tools to effectively organize and monitor business processes within the production department. The Production Manager will have ownership in resolving customer complaints, managing project conflicts, and addressing warranty issues. They will have the primary business relationship with suppliers and installation crews and manage all site supervisors.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating and communicating schedules to property owners, crews, suppliers, and supervisors
  • Creating and placing material orders and work orders
  • Manage punch-out and warranty repairs
  • Managing warehouse inventory and bulk order purchasing
  • Obtaining any necessary permitting
  • Production related customer service and crisis resolution
  • Vehicle and equipment maintenance
  • Inspect and manage Site Supervisor performance and activities
  • Oversee installation and construction site standards
  • Coordinate the collection of customer payments on the day of installation
  • Ensure quality documentation from the field for job files
  • Review and approve vendor invoices for payment
  • Create job estimates

 

Job Requirements:

  • Must have proficient computer and research skills
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in roofing and carpentry trade work
  • Must have at least 4 years’ experience in construction project management and/or supervision

 

Job Expectations:

  • Work 40-50 Hours per week at office
  • Be on call to field warranty calls
  • Able to travel 10-15 days per month during peak season
  • Demonstrate ownership and competency in all areas of responsibility

 

Job Salary and Benefits:

  • $60,000 - $75,000
